Today, we have released Service Release 7 for Spectra 2014 (myStratus Desktop Service Release 7 will be released next week). This release includes several bug fixes and several new enhancements. Click here to read the Release Notes.

One of the new enhancements is a new feature called Bulk Image Importer.  The Bulk Image Importer is designed for school/event photographers that photograph multiple clients to the same memory card(s) and then need an expedited way to import the images into Spectra/Stratus Desktop for many clients.  To learn more, watch this training video, and read these instructions.

Please remember these key points when updating your Spectra:

• The release notes can be reviewed by clicking here.
• Always perform a backup before running the update.
• Plan the time to do your update carefully. The update can be downloaded at any time and run later. However, it may be good to plan on running it when StudioPlus Tech Support is available to assist if needed.
• Note that if you run the update on just one computer and have any problems, you can always restore to the backup you created and the rest of the computers will still function on the old release. You can then re-install on the failed update computer to get it back in business.
• The time needed to complete the update will vary greatly from one situation to another, but in most studios you should be able to complete the download, install and update in under thirty minutes.
