I would like to schedule lunch for all of my employees at the same time every day throughout the year. Also I would like to show on the schedule calender the studio open time so that the employees do not schedule anyone before we are open. Thanks in advance.

You can use advanced scheduling to create a number of calendar events and then include a number of users. Create a new unlinked appointment and then select the Use Advanced Calendar check box. Then go to the calendar tab and check off everyone that you want to be at that lunch. Click on a new line to make another one for the next day and so on. Chapter 2-202 in the Online videos is also about Advanced Scheduling. http://www.StudioPlussoftware.com/support/online_training.html In the Company Preferences, on the Calendar tab, you can set the studio hours. Also in the Company Preferences on the Scheduling tab, there is a choice for how to handle conflicts. I would recommend that you choose Allow after Prompting so a user is prompted if they try to schedule in a slot that already has lunch scheduled. Finally, there is User Security in StudioPlus, but it needs to be turned on. Once you have user security enabled, there is a security setting for Scheduling Permissions. Be sure to read the warning box on this topic before enabling security. http://www.StudioPlussoftware.com/2010/WebHelp/Application_Maintenance/Users_and_Security.htm

Jaz,
I know you called and asked if there was an easier way to do items like this for long periods of time, but that is the only way currently available. One of our most requested enhancements is to have recurring calendar items and it is still planned for a future version, but it has not yet been implemented. Because StudioPlus has special functionailty with sessions, recurring items need to be handled very carefully. Edited by Mark Jeske - Jan/21/2010 at 4:04pm |

Mark,
OK. I understand. I hope the change is soon. Thanks for your help. Jaz PS Is there any way the bottom message screen can change color? When i type, it is hard to see what I am typing because the fonts are black and the message screen is dark also, |

Mark,
First, you need to get rid of the dark blue box in which your forum members type their questions or change the type from black to white.
Second, the links you have in your reply to Jaz aren't all working.
Thanks!

Ahmed,
We are working on both issues. I have corrected the links above, but you will notice that they have the year 2010 in the link. When we put out new versions and new help, I have to update that and realized that it would be better to have a link that was always current no matter what the year. There are going to be many links like that as now we have had the forum since 2007 and even some of our external links may have changed on us. With those links that point to our help topics, you can probably see the pattern and only need to look for that topic in the Help in your StudioPlus main program or in the Online search on our site here.
