Preproduction (Proof) Orders

Preproduction (proof) orders are helpful for studios that shoot film and for those that wish to track proofs that are due to go out or be returned.

Please note: Because we are continually updating our library of training videos as new versions of our software are released, this video will likely show an older or newer version of StudioPlus Spectra/myStratus than you have installed. Don't worry! The video will still give you a great overview of this feature.

 

Outline:

1. Proof status
   1. Set each status
      1. Sort order: the order of the status
      2. Duration: business days until it's due
      3. Set initial and final statuses
2. Set up vendor maintenance
   1. Enter in specific information
      1. Name
      2. Vendor address (optional)
      3. Phone number (optional)
      4. Fax (optional)
      5. Your account (optional)
3. Film maintenance
   1. Set up each film type
   2. Also enter:
      1. Code
      2. Description
      3. Color
      4. Format
      5. Number of exposures
      6. Cost
4. Creating Proof Orders
   1. Session > New > New Proof Order
      1. Select vendors
      2. Add film to the proof order
5. Tracking proof orders
   1. Look up client or session
      1. View proof orders and statuses
   2. OR Order Proof Order Status Reports
      1. Select proof orders as report type
      2. Print daily/weekly to keep your studio on track
