Invoice Statuses can be used to create your own custom invoice statuses and then use them to track the status of each invoice. See the “Working with Invoices” chapter for more information.
To activate the Invoice
Status feature, go to Maintenance > Preferences > Studio
Preferences and select the Invoicing
tab.
Select Display Invoice Status on Invoice Screen.
Go to Maintenance > Invoice >Invoice Status to set up your invoice statuses.
Invoice Status Maintenance
Description – Appears on the Invoice screen.
Sort Order – Choose the order that invoices proceed through the statuses.
Typical Duration – Enter the number of business days that an invoice should be at that status.
Initial Status – Select this option on the status that all new invoices should default to.
Final Status – Select this option on the status that will indicate the invoice is complete.
For each invoice status you can also set up various triggers to automatically
send emails and SMS text messages, print letters, generate phone calls,
or create tasks based on the payment due date or the status due date.
