New StudioPlus Spectra 2013 Part III – Trigger Enhancements

One of the features that I have always loved most about Spectra is the Triggers because of the extreme benefits they can bring to increasing revenue for any studio.  Triggers provide the ability to automatically create or send a communication to your client based on a predefined set of rules.  A communication can be a phone call, email, SMS text message, or a printed letter.   For example, send a series of four emails to a new prospect, followed by a personalized phone call. Send a confirmation email at the time of booking.  Send a text message the day before a session, etc.

In Spectra 2013, we’ve made this tool even better with these great new features:

  • We redesigned the way you create triggers, providing all-new, easy-to-use Trigger Maintenance forms.
  • You can now automatically trigger an email, post card, or text to a client based on their Birthday or Anniversary date.
  • You can now trigger a SMS text message to a specific user or to specific mobile number(s).
  • You can now use triggers to automatically create Tasks instead of a communication.
  • Appointment Triggers can now be defined by Appointment Type, so you can set up different triggers for different types of appointments.
  • Session Triggers can now be defined by Session Type.  Before you had to create triggers assigned to a specific session status. Now triggers can be defined by a session type, regardless of the status.
  • Appointment Triggers can now be based on Appointment Booked Date.
  • You can now create triggers based on a Task Type or a Task Status.
  • The number of email attachments has been increased to five.

Triggers are a powerful feature that all clients using Spectra Professional should be using, and in 2013, they’ll be even more powerful than ever!

  1. This is a great enhancement so that we can do even more with Spectra–in an automated way!

  2. I would love to see detailed examples of how we might use these features. Make it as practical as possible so we can get straight into using it :-)
