Delivering Images Electronically

In addition to delivering beautiful prints, albums, and canvases to your clients, many of you are choosing to deliver some images electronically, via CD, DVD, or USB. To help streamline even more of your production workflow, we have developed a new feature in Spectra 2015 and myStratus Desktop 2015 so you can easily deliver downloadable images directly to your clients, right from the software. Not only will your clients love this convenience, but it will also save you countless hours in your digital workflow!

The software will compress and upload selected images to your Stratus Drive and create a download link you can email to your client. You can even set up the software to do this automatically by using Render Profiles and Email Triggers, creating a highly streamlined workflow.

Here are a few ways you can use this great new feature:

  • Deliver hi-res versions of specific ordered images to a client.
  • Deliver hi-res versions of all the retouched images for an entire session.
  • Provide your clients with a low-res version of all their session images, including your watermark and automatic image correction and skin smoothing applied by the Perfectly Clear plugin.
  • Deliver images with a certain rating or those that belong to a certain image group.
  • Provide a single low-res image for a client to use on Facebook.
  • Deliver a low-res, watermarked copy of a selected yearbook image for the client to proof and approve.
  • You can also deliver any other file, group of files, or folder from your computer. You are not limited to sending images!

To manually initiate a delivery, just click on the new Deliver Electronically button on the Action tab of the session, invoice, production order, or workflow hub.

When the upload is complete, send the client one of your custom emails that include the new Electronic Delivery URL merge field embedded right in the email. The email can instruct your client to click on the link to download the images.

We’re also introducing a new option on the render profile setup screen so your images can be rendered, zipped, and uploaded in one simple step.

Hopefully, these examples get you excited about the many ways you can implement this powerful new feature in your studio! The Electronic Delivery feature will be included in all versions of Spectra 2015 or myStratus Desktop 2015.

  1. This looks good but where do the images get uploaded to with Spectra 2015? We don’t have a Stratus Drive or use MyStratus 2015. How would that work?

  2. Paul Burrows says:
