I’m thrilled to announce the release of Spectra and myStratus 2015 Volume 2! This release includes several great new features designed to help you build your business.
First, as we posted yesterday, this release includes our new Online Booking solution for myStratus! Click here to read yesterday’s announcement.
Also, as we announced last week, our new certified EMV credit card processing solution through Cayan is featured in this release. Click here to read last week’s announcement.
There’s more! Here are the rest of the new features in this release:
Copy Session – You can now copy a session record! This new feature is great for those of you that track a lot of details regarding a session or job and want to copy all those details to another session, either for the same client or a different client. From the session record, just click File > Copy Session.
Email Invoice during Booking – You can now easily email an invoice to a client at the end of the Scheduling Wizard. A new email will be opened, the body of the email will be created from a form letter or HTML email template, and the invoice PDF will be attached. It’s all ready for you to send! The defaults for this new feature can also be set in the Wizard Builder.
Auto-Add Items to Invoices – You can now define one or more default price list items that will be automatically added to a Session Fee invoice based on the session type. This feature can be a great time-saver for your bookers and can also eliminate costly invoicing errors!
Scheduling Time Slots – You can now create predefined time slots on the calendar, showing your staff when they should book various types of sessions. You can either go to Maintenance > Sessions > Scheduling Time Slots or simply right-click on the calendar to create new time slots. You can also take a block of time slots and copy them from one week to another.
Android Mobile App – Finally, the Android Mobile App for myStratus is now available from the Google Play Store!
The 2015 Volume 2 release is available free of charge to all Spectra clients with a current maintenance plan and to all myStratus subscribers!

I really like all that you do for us to improve an already great software, but in this release, I’ll find the SCHEDULING TIME SLOTS a key feature I’ll use a lot. In the past, I have created a type of appointment called “shoot get” and then placed them where I want them. Now, I’ll be able to use this, plus copy a block at a time, not one at a time–thanks.
Since our studio does in-studio and outdoor sessions, I’d love it if we could embed the sunset into the calendar, so that the schedule (calendar) becomes shaded to a different tint at a user set interval prior to sunset. I our case, we want our sessions to end 45 minutes prior to sunset!
