Microsoft is officially discontinuing support for Windows XP in just a couple months. Do you still have computers running XP? Maybe the time has come to blow the dust off and get them upgraded. Here are 4 reasons why you should consider upgrading.
- Security – Microsoft will no longer issue security patches for XP as of April 8, 2014! This announcement means XP workstations will be increasingly vulnerable to attacks, putting your business at serious risk. Don’t leave your computers exposed!
- App Support – Many software companies are officially discontinuing their support for XP. Adobe has already announced that Photoshop CS6 is the last version to support XP. Many other companies are following suit.
- Better Experience – How many of you are still using a cell phone released in 2001? Technology has changed so much since the release of Windows XP. Upgrading to Windows 7 or Windows 8 is a good thing.
- Spectra 2014! – Spectra 2014, to be released in 1st Quarter 2014, will not be supported on XP. Many of the new features being added to the software simply require a more modern OS. We’re looking forward to delivering these new features next year!
