Form Letters vs HTML Emails

With the 2020 release of Stratus, which has the back-end infrastructure to support our upcoming, brand-new InspiredByYou website, we’ve reduced some functionality of Form Letters.  Just like with Windows XP, as software evolves, our plain text editor that used to create Form Letters is now outdated.

Form Letters used for automated tasks, like Triggers and Communication Wizard, will no longer allow images, hyperlinks, or even formatting.  These features still work for one-off communications – those emails you manually send to a client individually, retaining all the things you’d expect to see in them.  They are also still available for those of you who still print letters.

We recommend that for any automated communication sent via email to your clients, use HTML Email.  Some of you may be unfamiliar with coding HTML but we can recommend a freeware option to help you create those emails which you can download from Blue Griffon.  StudioPlus does not offer support to the Blue Griffon freeware but it is straightforward and very user friendly.
