What is Domain Authentication?

When sending emails, Domain Authentication shows email providers that SendGrid has permission to send emails on your behalf. Without Domain Authentication, email providers are more likely to block/spam your emails because they can't be sure it's truly coming from you. By authenticating these emails, you increase your reputation with email providers because they know it's really you.

In order to give SendGrid this permission, you must point DNS entries from your DNS Provider to SendGrid. As a visible change, when clients receive emails, they will no longer display a "via SendGrid.net" message. While this may seem like a minor change to you, adding domain authentication can have a major impact on your reputation and ability to deliver emails.
