NOTE: This feature is available in the Standard, Professional, and Enterprise versions of myStratus Desktop. Spectra does not include this feature.

Now clients can enter your promotion codes online giving them the flexibility to plan ahead for their savings. Everyone is chasing the next "good deal" on the horizon and giving your clients the ability to use their promo codes ahead of time will help increase engagement with your marketing materials.

Some examples when this can be used:

• "Use Promo Code FSF to get your next Session Fee for FREE!"
• "All October Session fees are 25% when you use Promo Code Oct2019"
• "Enter FREE810 when booking to get a free 8x10 of your choice!"
• "Book today with code PLUS1 to get a bonus outfit change during your photo shoot!"

To activate Promo codes with Online Booking, go to Maintenance > Preferences > Online Booking Preferences > Sessions tab. Uncheck the Hidden box to let your promo codes be visible online.

1. Create Promotional Item in Price List

First, create the desired promotional item you want your clients to use with your Online Booking. This can be created in the Price List at Maintenance > Price List > Price Lists. The Item Identifier field of the promotional item should be the exact Promo Code your clients will enter online. See Creating a Coupon or Promotion for detailed instructions on creating a promotional item.

2. Add Promotional Item to Online Session Type

Once the promotional item has been created in the price list, it needs to be added to the corresponding session type(s) being offered online.

1. Go to Maintenance > Session > Session Types. 
2. Open the desired session type for this particular promotional item and go to the Online Booking tab.
3. Set the Payment Options to Require an invoice payment for the full amount. This will allow clients to pay something different than the listed price after their promotion is applied. 
4. Next, go to the Online Booking 2 tab. 
5. The grid at the bottom will display all your promotional items. Highlight the item you want to use and press the > option to add it to your session type.
6. Press OK to save your changes
